Abia Warriors to stop Imama Amapakabo from joining NPFL rivals

Imama Amapakabo will stay at Abia Warriors amidst of reports linking him with a move to Enyimba International.

According to reports, Enyimba identified the former Super assistant Coach as the ideal successor to Fatai Osho and are willing to appoint him as their new boss.

The Reports claimed, the representatives of the highly-rated gaffer held a showdown talks, with Abia Warriors Management about Imama’s desire to try something new , but they weren’t unable to convince the club to break the contract.

“Imama Amapakabo Remains Abia Warriors Coach. He has an existing contract with the club and he will lead the team come next season”

“We have confidence in him and we will give him all the needed support  to continue the good job he started with the team in the just concluded Nigeria professional football league campaign”, Abia Warriors Chairman Pastor Emeka Inyama said.

Meanwhile, the former Rangers International of Enugu and El-Kanemi boss joined Abia Warriors at the start of last season and he has twelve month left on his current contract.
