Grace Oshiokpu leapt to bronze in the Girls U20 Triple Jump event at the 2019 CAA Junior Athletics Championships, but the young jumper expressed delight wit her debut performance.
Oshiokpu leapt a distance 11.81m, but it was short of South Africa’s Nolwazi Mashaba 12.65m and Ethiopia’s Boru Robe Sambate 12.06m.
But she already looking ahead and in an interview with Africa Athletics, the youngster stated her plans.
‘I’m so happy to win my first medal for Nigeria. I know I have a bright future. My next target is for me to better my jump.’
