Super Eagles full back Ola Aina says he is happy to win the goal award for the 2020-2021 premier league season.
Aina’s ferocious strike for Fulham against West Bromwich Albion was picked as the most outstanding strike for the season.
In gratefully accepting the award, Aina was quick to honour the major role played by his team-mates and the fans of the club.
” Thank you to all the Fulham fans who voted for me for Goal of the Season,”the Nigeria international told the club website.”
“Ever since I came in, I felt the support. I’m so thankful and I love you dearly for it.
“I appreciated your support throughout the whole season. It was sad that we couldn’t see you that much, but thank you so much.” he said.
Aina signed for Fulham on loan from Italian side Torino last summer and he featured in 31 games for the Cottagers.
He scored one goal and created other two from his full back position, but Fulham failed to retain their topflight status for another season.
