Ajayi’s Decisive Penalty Clinches FIFA Club World Cup Bronze for Al Ahly

Striker Junior Ajayi was the hero as African Champions Al Ahly won third place at the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday.

Ajayi came off the bench to score the winning penalty against South American champions Palmeiras FC, after the game ended goalless in the regulation time.

The Attacker, who missed Al Ahly’s two previous matches in the tournament took the place of Walter Bwalya on the pitch in the 58th minute.

During the shootout, Palmeiras missed three kicks while Al Ahly scored three to leave the Education City Stadium in Qatar with the third place medal.
