Super Eagles defender Kevin Akpoguma was in action for Hoffenheim in their Europa league encounter with Slovan Liberec on Thursday.
Akpoguma played a crucial role as the German Bundesliga side secured a fantastic 5 – 0 victory.
The former German youth international started the match, but lasted for 61 minutes as he was replaced by Haavard Nordtveit.
Hoffenheim went two goal ahead within the first 30 minutes, thanks to a perfect brace from Munas Dabbur.
Florian Grillitsch, the made it 3 – 0 in the 71st minutes, before Sargis Adamyan wrapped the fantastic night for Hoffenheim with late brace.
Akpoguma has now featured in all Hoffenheim’s European matches this season and he only failed to complete 90 minutes once.
The win is a perfect response to their home defeat against Taiwo Awoniyi’s Union Berlin at the weekend.
Hoffenheim are sitting on top of their group with nine points from three matches.
