Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun thanked the Rangers fans for the way they have welcomed him to the club.
Balogun made his debut for the team against Aberdeen at the Pittodrie Stadium last weekend, despite only joining from Brighton six days earlier.
The experienced defender played a crucial role in the team’s 1 – 0 win over Aberdeen in Rangers’ opening game of the new season.
Speaking to the club’s official website after his debut, Balogun said he had a hectic week, but grateful to the fans for how they welcome him and helping him settle quickly at the club.
“It has been big! When I signed on Friday, everything was a bit hectic so I had to go back to Manchester to get some stuff.
“But it has been amazing – I slowly start to get an idea of how big the fan culture is. As I said in my first interview, I heard a lot about it, but I think there is nothing like having them with you and behind you and everybody is looking forward to getting them back into the stadium.” He said.
Meanwhile, Balogun is expected to be in action again for Rangers when they host St Mirren on Sunday.
