BREAKING: Ezenwa returns to training after CHAN injury

Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa is back to training after the injury sustained during the last CHAN tournament in Morocco.

The former FC Ifeanyi ubah goalie has returned to fitness in time to join Gernot Rohr’s men to take on Poland and Serbia on March 23 and March 27 respectively.

Ezenwa suffered a knee injury while on international duty with Nigeria at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.

Speaking in an exclusive Telephone chat on Brila FM  this morning, Ezenwa revealed that he is now fit and was on his way to training when he got the phone call.

“I am now fit as I’m even on my way to training this morning when th  call came through,” Ezenwa told Brila FM.

The Enyimba international goalkeeper also confirmed that he is currently training at the Abuja National Stadium.

Ezenwa has been the Super Eagles first choice since he replaced Daniel Akpeyi last year.

The Enyimba goalkeeper has made six international appearances for the main Super Eagles team, conceding two goals.

Nigeria will face Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D at the Russia 2018 World Cup .
