Salisu Yusuf may have his work cut out for him ahead of the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN 2018) with the beat down and “Rusty” squad he has to work with.
CHAN Eagles Fitness Trainer Okechukwu Akas described the condition of players invited to the Abuja camp of the team as “Rusty” with 19 days to the team’s first game.
As per Kola Daniel [scorenigeria] Akas is hopeful the players form will improve “in the coming days.”
The US-based trainer resumed work with the Eagles backroom staff on Boxing Day.
“They are a little bit rusty, but in the coming days we can do a lot,” Akas told scorenigeria.com.ng
The Eagles will open their CHAN campaign on January 15 against Rwanda’s Amavubi at the Stade Ibn Batouta in Tangier.
