Charity Adule’s SD Eibar gains promotion to Spainish Iberdrola

Charity Adule will join the growing list of Nigerian players who are playing in the Spanish premiere Iberdrola, following her team’s promotion.

Adule’s SD Eibar side was promoted to the Liga Iberdrola after the Spanish FA decided to end the women’s league following the coronavirus pandemic.

Charity finished her first season in Spain as her team’s leading scorer, finding the net on nine occasions in league action.

Adule was joined back in September 2019 after a successful period with Kazakhstan side BIIK, where she won five league titles and helped the team reached the Round of 16 of the 2016-17 UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The 26-year-old has played for Nigeria U20 at the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Germany and the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan, and currently playing for the Nigerian women’s senior national football team Super Falcons.
