Report: Chelsea’s Hazard “agrees” to leave for Madrid in summer

Belgium Superstar, Eden Hazard will likely sign for La Liga side Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The 27-year-old Hazard has once again been Chelsea’s standout player so far this season, scoring nine and supplying four assists in all competitions.

Chelsea have so far been unsuccessful in their attempt to tie him down to fresh terms at Stamford Bridge with the former PFA player of the year as he’s understood to have rejected two offers.

Hazard, whose current deal runs out in 2020, recently gave supporters hope that he could sign a new deal after saying he was waiting for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to put pen to paper first.

“I will answer you the same as Thibaut,” Hazard told French media.

“First, he must sign, then I will be able to continue. I do not know who will be the first to sign his new contract.

“It’s a secret…”

Meanwhile, Radio Monte Carlo claims that Madrid have held talks over a potential move for Hazard – who is manager Zinedine Zidane’s top target to replace the ageing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Furthermore, Spanish publication AS reports that Hazard has now agreed to join the La Liga champions in the summer with a deal likely to be worth in excess of £100million to Chelsea.

In December, Hazard’s father revealed that his son had rejected a contract offer worth £15.5 million. He also added that currently there are no offers from Real Madrid but if there are in the future, it is for Eden to decide his future.
