Nigeria’s Sports minister Sunday Dare has promised that the Sports ministry will show more support henceforth to the Nigeria women league after the conclusion of the 2019 Nigeria women premier league Super 4 to bring the season to an end.
Dare said in a chat gathered by brila.net that the ministry will stop at nothing to partner the Nigeria Football Federation to ensure modalities on how best to secure sponsorship for the women league is mapped out.
He also commended the gradual rise in what the women league look like at the moment.
“I’m impressed with what I’ve seen, we’ve seen female professional football at its best, we’ve seen the exhibition of talent. We know some of our players are headed for the professional leagues outside the country.
All I can say is that the ministry will partner with the Federation. We will also try to see that we get them sponsorship and to support them to be better.”
