Delta state will jump at the chance to host Eagles in future, says Okowa

With three matches in five days being played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, commissioner for sports in Delta State, Tonobok Okowa has revealed that the state would readily welcome the idea of hosting the Eagles home matches moving forward.
The Eagles will later today battle the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly after they beat Seychelles in a dead rubber AFCON qualifier 3-1 on Friday while coach Imama Amapakabor led his U23 Dream Team to a 4-0 win over Libya yesterday at the same venue in an Olympic qualifying match.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Tonobok also added that the state is in a strategic place in the country, and as such, it would be good for the Eagles.
“I guess the NFF, they love the facility that we have here, and the first time we ever hosted them, that was in the cup”.
“I’m sure they loved the turnout, the second one is that the crowd was overwhelming, am sure they saw something good about the stadium that’s why they came back”.
“If they give us the option of hosting them, we will grab it, we want to keep bringing them back because we want to always put the stadium in use, people would always want to come back because Asaba is well situated, it’s at the middle of other states”.
“It’s very strategic, the location is strategic so I believe it will be good to see them come back”.
