Associate coach of the D’Tigers basketball team Alex Nwora has stated that the successes recorded by the Nigerian national team is the secret behind Africans making waves in the NBA.
Nwora told brila.net exclusively that football has been the main sport in this part of the world, but the success added recorded over the years by D’ Tigers team has open doors to so many Nigerians and Africans into the NBA.
“Well, it’s the interest you can see that they are a lot of Africans that are picking up basketball today because soccer has been our major sports in the continent of Africa.”
“But now, with the development of basketball and the success that Nigeria D’tigers’ team had created from the past years till now, its also gaining the interest of Nigeria descent to pick up Basketball over football.
