Assistant coach of Nigeria’s men basketball National team D’Tigers Odaudu Ogoh has stated that Nigeria will reap bountifully the benefit of finishing top of her Afrobasket 2021 qualifying group after ending with 6 wins in 6 games played in the two qualifying windows between November 2020 and February 2021.
Ogoh speaking in a chat with brila.net said finishing top will ensure the D’Tigers get a good ranking for draws and eventually place the team in a better position to easily advance her quest to win the Afrobasket competition proper later in the year.
“We’re coming out with a clean record, we have qualified, we have a ticket. We are building towards a target and going top of our group put us in a better position when they start making draws for the Afrobasket proper.”
