D’Tigers won’t relent despite picking Afrobasket ticket as qualifers continue – Ogoh

Assistant coach of Nigeria’s men basketball national team Odaudu Ogoh has stated that the D’Tigers won’t relent yet despite picking the ticket for the 2021 Afrobasket Championship proper Wednesday in Tunisia with two games to spare after a 75-70 points win against South Sudan stressing that the games left will benefit the team.

Ogoh speaking in a chat with brila.net allayed the fear of Nigerians that the team struggled before winning Wednesday’s game against South Sudan because the team had little or no preparation before heading to the fixture arriving just two days to the qualifiers, unlike their opponent.
“I knew this game was going to be like that because those people prepared well, they were in camp in Rwanda for a while before they flew to Tunisia, we just showed up there on Monday, we were in quarantine this game was the first full-court game they were playing.
“We have qualified we have the ticket but it’s important they play well because we are building towards a target, so it doesn’t look like because we have qualified let’s just go and sleep.”
