Member of the Olamide George lead Athletics Federation of Nigeria Brown Ebewele has faulted the palliatives grant circular signed by former AFN President Ibrahim Gusau.
Ebewele speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Federation lead by Olamide George remains the Federation through which any of such palliative grants from the world athletics governing body or continental body will go through.
“What I know is that the ministry called Mary Onyali and the athletes representative in the board Charles to compile list of athletes for palliatives and that’s the only thing I know. I don’t know of Gusau or any other person. I don’t want to believe it’s the international body or the world body.
If they want to give anything to anybody, it will be done through the Federation so if they are doing it through an individual that’s against procedure and fraudulent.”
