Emmanuel Emenike unleashed his fury on Asteras Tripolis on Tuesday in the Greek Cup netting a second-half brace to secure an opening day win.
Emenike scored his first in the 71st minute from the penalty spot.
Emmanuel Emenike scored two goals within seven minutes as Olympiacos defeated Asteras Tripolis 2-1 in a Greek Cup tie on Tuesday night.
The Nigeria international who joined the Reds in the summer proved the difference against a resolute Asteras side.
Seven minutes after scoring from the penalty spot, the 30-year-old ran through a wall of defenders as Olympiakos broke off on a counter attack.
He picked up a pass, and ease rolls the ball into the box before cooly slamming the ball past the goal keeper.

And six minutes later, he completed his brace. Stavros Tsoukalas got a late consolation for Savvas Pantelidis’ side in the 84th minute.

Emenike will be looking to continue with this form when Olympiacos visit the Athens Olympic Stadium to take on AEK in a Greek Super League tie on Sunday.
