Oghenekaro Etebo has been withdrawn for the Super Eagles squad to face Algeria and Tunisia in international next week.
The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed Etebo’s withdrawal from the squad on their twitter handle on Monday morning.
The NFF said the combative player pulled out of the squad due to the knock he suffers while playing for Galatasaray against Kasimpasa on Sunday.
“Etebo is out of the friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia. He picked up a knock in his club’s game in Turkey yesterday.” the NFF said.
Etebo becomes the third player to pull out of the matches after Wilfred Ndidi and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen and Ndidi have been replaced by Paul Onuachu and Tyronne Ebuehi respectively, but Etebo’s replacement has not been named.
