Stan Okoye, MVP!
Was the chant inside the Prince Philip Hall after Okoye was brought off, for the last time in Game 3 of the Liga Endesa semi-final.
All season, the Power Forward showed great form, leading Tecnyconta Zaragoza’s charge for a title, but will have to return for next season.
Zaragoza lost 81-96 on Tuesday night and 3-0 in the series to Barcelona, who will face Real Madrid in the final.
On the night Okoye dropped 19 points 6 rebounds and 3 assists. However, though the effort of the team wasn’t enough to lift them, the fans showed the Nigerian love, chanting MVP! MVP!! as he made his way to the bench.
