Emmanuel Dennis will be heading back to his parent club, Club Brugge when his loan deal wirh German Bundesliga club FC Cologne expire.
Cologne sporting director Horst Heldt suggested that the SuperEagles striker has no future them and admitted , he made a blunder signing him on loan.
Dennis initially signed for the Cologne from Club Brugge in January and his deal with the club will expire in June.
Emmanuel Dennis didn’t live up to expectations at the club and his time was overshadowed by the penalty miss that caused Cologne embarrassing elimination from German cup to division two side Jahn Regensburg.
“He’s not an easy guy,” Heldt said of Dennis, We knew about this problem, but we took too much risk. We misjudged that.” HorstHeldt told German Sports site Mobil express.
The 51-year-old also revealed that, Dennis’ behavior isn’t good enough for the dressing room and thenthey had to drop him.
“Dennis caused a stir because his behavior was not what the squad needs to be doing. We then dropped him because our priority was the group.
“That was a bad transfer that is my responsibility.” he concluded.
Recalled Dennis also fell his with his club on the eve of their champions league meeting with Borussia Dortmund last season.
Dennis, 23, failed to score in any of his nine appearance in the Bundesliga for Cologne and his only goals came in the DFB Pokal cup.
