Flying Eagles and CAF best XI player, Ozornwafor Valentine has declared that the defensive partnership with team captain, Ikouwem Udoh Utim played a major role in being selected amongst the best 11 players at the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The Enyimba defender told brila.net that Ikouwem has always been his friend and they have been able to build a very good understanding over time.
“Our partnership is really very good and he is my captain and my brother. We have very mutual respect for each other and during our camping for the tournament we were roommates and we were able to understand ourselves well”.
Both Ozornwafor Valentine and Ikouwem Utim were listed in CAF’s best XI at the recently concluded 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
