Former Flying Eagles Star Joins Chinese League One Club

Former Nigeria U20 star, John Owoeri has signed a two-year deal with Chinese League One side,Shanghai Shenxin.

The once promising striker, earned just one senior team cap and has been on a whirlwind journey in his club career.

Owoeri joined Shanghai Shenxin after a stint with another League One team, Baoding Yingli Yitong, where he scored 14 goals in 28 matches.

As per Ayodeji Tunde [FC Naija] the length of the contract was revealed by the forward’s intermediary, Martin Dahlin – A former Swedish football star.

He said: John Owoeri just signed a two Year contract with Shanghai Shenxin FC in the Chinese Second League. John was the top goal scorer in the Swedish League 2016. Congratulations John, well deserved.

The deal with the Chinese club will keep John in the Orients until the end of the 2019 season.
