Former West Bromwich Albion defender, Ifeanyi Udeze has called on Chelsea’s hierarchy to make a decision of sacking Antonio Conte immediately.

Ifeanyi Udeze made his opinion known while speaking to Kelani Abdul-hakeem Adesola on Brila FM’s Big Sports Breakfast Show earlier this morning.

The former Super Eagles left fullback said it’s high time Chelsea sacked Antonio Conte, saying something is wrong after Monday night thrashing by Watford.

“If you ask me, I think it’s time for Conte to be sacked, he has got it all wrong, a whole lot is wrong with the Chelsea team right now,” Udeze said.

“Chelsea needs to sack the Italian manager and bring in some new Manager to improve the team’s Psychology and playing style”, the former AEK Athens defender added.

However, the under-fire Chelsea Manager has made his own mind known that he is not afraid of being axed by the Chelsea board.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Conte said he is doing his job, and if the Club thinks he is not doing well…They should make their decision”

“My position? It is the same. I stay here, try to work and put all myself in the work,” Conte said after the defeat.

“The pressure? Which pressure? What is the pressure?

“I work – if this is enough it is, OK. Otherwise, the club has to take another decision.

“I tried to warn everyone about the difficulty of our path in the league and Champions League. We performed very bad but maybe I made the mistakes with the starting XI today.

“My choice was very poor I think. It was very difficult to change something tonight.”
