Frank Onyeka gets high rating in Brentford historic win over Arsenal

It was a fairytale start from Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka in the Premier League as his Club Brentford recorded a 2-0 victory over Arsenal.

Onyeka joined the Bees from FC Midtylland in a five-year deal last month and he has settled down quickly to life in the English top tier football.

The Nigerian had impressive pre-season and he was rewarded with a starting shirt in the Bees first Premier League game in 7-years.

Brentford Manager, Thomas Frank went with a back three and handed a debut to new signing Kristoffer Ajer in defence and Frank Onyeka also was handed a start in midfield after scoring in the pre-season win over Valencia, while Ivan Toney was fit to lead the line.

Onyeka was impressive throughout his stay on the pitch and key to quick transition from defence to the attack against naive Arsenal side.

The all round action midfielder was substituted with 10 minutes left and was replaced by Mads Bistrup.

The Bees took the lead as Sergi Canos caught out Bernd Leno with a low drive, from 15 yards in the 22nd minute.

Brentford found themselves 2-0 up through Christian Norgaard’s header following poor defending from a long throw with 17 minutes remaining.

Onyeka was given 7/10 by English Media Outlet, Sky Sports and he’s expected to carry his good form into the next game against Crystal Palace.
