Para-Athletics Federation president, Geoffrey Ogu has lauded the performance of the Nigerian contingents at the recently concluded Commonwealth games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Ogu made this revelation in an interview with brila.net alongside Tony Ubani who was the spokesperson for the Nigeria team at the Commonwealth Games.
The Para-athletics Federation Chief claimed the Team Nigeria performed even above-set targets.
When asked about the performance ratings of the Team Nigeria, Ogu said:
“Definitely, I am happy with the performance of the Athletes and they have really done well by making the Country proud,” Ogu told brila.
The Nigeria Para-athletics Federation also showered praise on the Host country for peacefully hosting the games.
“Australia deserves some accolades, the games was properly organised, they also did well in terms of facilities and Accommodation”
“Also in terms of Traffic management, the host did a very good job,” Geoffrey Ogu added.
