Henry Onyekuru dumps Eupen, sets to Announce new Club

Henry Onyekuru will join up with the Super Eagles camp in France on Tuesday as he bids farewell to KAS Eupen following the end of the Belgian League season.

The 19-year-old striker scored a brace in KAS Eupen’s 3-2 defeat against KSV Roeselare in the Europa League playoff on Saturday to take his goal tally in all competitions this season to 25.

Onyekuru was handed a call up after a club and country decision to allow Kayode Olanrewaju stay back to help Austria Wien book a Europa League ticket.

The young striker revealed he played his last game for Eupen on Saturday and will announce his next move after the national team friendlies; in two weeks.

The player, who has been linked with several English premier league clubs has attracted scouts from across Europe as well.

‘I scored two goals Tonight, but we lost because the Referee decided I was offside in the third goal.

‘I will join the national team on Tuesday. Of course I will be there and after the matches with the national team I will make an announcement on my future.

‘I’ve always maintained I wanted to end the season with Eupen, so now that I’ve done this in a couple of weeks; a week or two, I will reveal my next destination,’ the Player said.
