Mountain of Fire & Miracle Ministries (MFM) FC produced the only away win of Match day1 in the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season that commenced on Sunday.
The ‘Olukoya Boys’ shocked their former boss with a 1-0 victory against Heartland at the Okigwe Township Stadium.
MFM losttheir former coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu to Sunday’s opponent in the off-season but the Lagos-based side pull the chestnut out of the fire in a stunning fashion.
Clement Ogwu nodded home the only goal of the encounter six minutes from break after a corner kick by right-back Adeyinka Najeem.
However, the victory by MFM has thrown the form guide into the thrash bin as all the three previous NPFL meetings between the two sides had ended in home wins.
