Iheanacho’s Leicester situation worrisome, disappointing – Dr Larry Izamoje

Chairman/CEO of Brila Group, Dr. Larry Izamoje has described Super Eagles attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho’s situation at Leicester city as disappointing following his summer move to KP from the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking on Brila FM’s Big Sports Breakfast show, the Veteran Journalist expressed his unhappiness and dissatisfaction with the way things are going with talented Nigerian in Leicester.

Dr. Larry is obviously unhappy with the kind of treatment the talented young footballer is getting at the East Midland Club.

“It’s sad when on Matchday, we check the Team list and we can’t find our man’s name,  not even on the substitute bench,” Dr. Izamoje told brila FM.

The Brila Chief, however, attributed Iheanacho’s switch from his natural creative midfield role to being a striker on the effects of Manchester City Academy which has further affected his style of play”.

“The whole thing changed during his very short spell in the City’s academy, Iheanacho that we all know was a creative midfielder”, but coming out of the Manchester City Academy, He’s a different person”, The Veteran broadcaster stated.

Dr. Larry, Popularly known as the Double doctor also believes that Iheanacho’s football pattern is not well suited to the style in England, suggesting that the Spanish La Liga would have been a better choice for the Nigeria International.

Kelechi Iheanacho struggled in Leicester City’s loss on penalties to his former club Manchester City on Tuesday night, so much so that he was rated among the worst players on the King Power Stadium turf.

The Taye Academy product made his fourth start in all competitions from a possible 22 and had to be substituted eleven minutes into the second half after he was silenced by Manchester City defenders.

In their ratings of the Foxes players, Leicester City Mercury, a top voice on Leicester City, gave Iheanacho five out of ten marks.

The Super Eagles star had the least rating along with Aleksandar Dragovic, Andy King, and Ben Chilwell.

”Unimpressive performance against his former club. Subbed before the hour,”

In total, Iheanacho has clocked up 426 minutes from a possible 2,010 for the first team of Leicester City this season.
