Iheanacho’s 94th minute Winner sends Leicester through to FA Cup Quarter-finals

Kelechi Iheanacho was the hero as Leicester City left it very late to seal their spot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Wednesday.

Iheanacho came off the bench to win the game late on against Brighton and Hove Albion at the King Power stadium.

The Nigerian forward started the match from bench as Jamie Vardy returned from injury to lead the attack again.

However Leicester City Manager Brendan Rodgers decided to introduce the Nigerian into the contest in the 65th and the 25-year-old later became the hero.

The striker beat off his marker to score a glancing header in the 94th minute to send the Foxes to the quarter-final.

The goal took Iheanacho’s tally to 11 in 17 matches, one goal behind Didier Drogba, who is the African with more goals (12) in the competition, but Ivorian legend achieved his record after 29 matches.

Meanwhile, Wilfred Ndidi also featured in the game, but he was replaced in the 62nd minute by Hamza Choudhury.
