Jubilation as Nigerian Striker Scores 6 goals Brace for Top European Club

Nigerian superstar Paul Onuachu is on the striking streak as he netted twice for KRC Genk to overcome Antwerp.

Onuachu scored the first goal in the 13th minute before adding another one in the 80th minute. He has six goals in seven games played so far in this season for the blue-white side. The team is in fifth position in the table with fourteen points after eight games.

Despite Onuachu’s efforts to score for the team, he only managed to get consolation goals. Goals from Koji Miyoshi, Ritchie De Laet, Michael Frey, and Birge Verstraete ensured victory for the home team. However, that increased Onuachu’s current goal record in all competitions for his club in the current season to eight.

Onuachu is working hard towards breaking the 35 goals he netted last season. The Belgian side signed the player in 2019 and has netted 53 goals and 7 assists in 80 games. Paul Onuachu signed a new contract extension with the Belgium pro league club KRC Genk. The club has also revealed that Onuachu will be attached to the team until 2024, so Bet9ja punters can bet on him to score again when he’s playing.

The Nigerian player joined the Belgium side on September 1, 2019, from Midtjylland and scored 10 times for the club in his debut season. In his second season for the club, he scored 35 goals to become the top scorer for the team. That helped him scoop the professional football award of the year for his exemplary performance on the field.

So far, Onuachu has scored fifty goals for the Genk, and the team’s management is pleased to have Paul playing for the team. With him in their midst, they will be able to achieve their ambitions for the club. Fortunately, the Nigerian international is entirely focused on the Genk club after failing to make the big move to another team last summer.

The Nigerian national was linked with a move to a top club after an impressive performance but failed to make the transfer. Before this transfer attempt, Onuachu had scored 33 goals in 38 league appearances for the Belgium side. He struggled at the initial stages of his career in Genk, but he has discovered ways to pull off impressive performances in his recent appearances for the team.

In his latest interview with Laatste Nieuws, he was disappointed that he could not make a good transfer last summer. Onuachu said that he was still open to transfer in the future, but his main focus right now is trying to make an impressive performance in the future for Genk.

According to the Genk technical director, Onuachu’s transfer failure was due to a lack of reasonable offers for the forward player. Onuachu didn’t have any other option and was forced to stay in the team despite being linked to Liverpool during the transfer window period.

According to Genk’s technical director, Onuachu could be a perfect player for Liverpool as the reds team lacked physical presence up front. His star started to shine back when he was at the Danish club Midtjylland where he had scored 74 goals in his 181 appearances. Additionally, Onuachu has found the back of the net three times in his 13 appearances for the Nigerian national team.
