Former AC Milan and Portsmouth Midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is reportedly close to joining Barcelona, according to Sky Italia.
Boateng – who currently plays for Sassuolo – will join the La Liga champions on a six-month loan with an option to buy for €8m.
Barça scouts are said to have identified the 31-year-old as a player who could ‘complement the attack’ with options already short.
Girona forward Cristhian Stuani and LAFC winger Carlos Vela were also targets for January but moves for both failed to materialize.
