Liberia head coach unhappy with treatment the Lone Stars in Nigeria

Liberia  Head Coach Peter Butler has accused Nigeria of treating his side poorly after arriving the country for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The gaffer claimed his team didn’t have access to training facilities and other things to prepare his team for the game.

Liberia will tackle Nigeria in their opening 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos this Friday.

“We improvised because of the notorious traffic. I requested a schedule and it wasn’t forthcoming. The Nigerian national team said that we can’t train at the same pitch. We had to move to the National Stadium and changed hotel too.

“We trained here at the hotel, but I would rather look at the positives. It’s quite disappointing, I expected it”, he told the media.

Liberia lost to Nigeria in their last meeting at the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Lagos back in 2000.
