Former Nigeria international Sam Sodje has called on the League Management Company of Nigeria to as a matter of necessity get the Nigeria Professional Football League underway after series of postponements and uncertainty surrounding the commencement of the 2020/21 NPFL season.
Sodje speaking in a chat with brila.net charged the league organizers to look for a way out of the current situation which no longer seems tenable with various leagues coming back if Covid-19 was the reason for a standstill before now.
He argued that the lack of league football will affect all spheres of Football in Nigeria.
“It’s frustrating and embarrassing really, Covid-19 came but at the same time, other countries have tried their best to be able to play their league. So our league not starting affects the whole of Football in Nigeria. The LMC needs to try and do something about it.”
