Maduka Okoye is a major doubt for Sparta Rotterdam’s league game against AZ Alkmaar this weekend.
Okoye suffered a shoulder injury in Sparta Rotterdam’s 1-0 loss to Ajax Amsterdam last weekend.
The 21-year-old was taken off midway through the first half after suffering a shoulder-related injury and reports suggest that the injury is not serious.
Okoye is working his way back to full training, but Sparta Rotterdam does not want to risk him for the tie against AZ Alkmaar.
Okoye has been one of the stand-out players for Sparta Rotterdam this season, making 15 appearances in all competitions.
He could be available for the trip to Vitesse on Wednesday.
