Moyes denies West Ham interest in Onuachu

West Ham United manager David Moyes has denied reports linking the hammers with Genk’s striker Paul Onuachu.

Speaking with the media, ahead of West Ham United’s Europa league Group game with Genk, Moyes admitted he watched the striker, but insisted that he’s not one of their transfer targets.

Onuachu has been linked with a move to West Ham United in the past, following his record breaking performance last season for Genk.

The Nigeria international scored 37 goals for Club and Country last season and has netted 11 times in all competitions for the John van Den Brom’s side this season.

“I don’t want to disappoint but he wasn’t someone who we really considered. Quite often at West Ham we are linked with so many players.,”Moyes told the media ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash against Genk.

“So I have to say there is not an awful lot of truth in it but I appreciate the player I have watched him play recently because we’re watching the games but I have to say he wasn’t one of the targets we had planned for the summer time.” He stated.
