Super Eagles’ midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is excited with Nigeria’s hard-fought 2-1 victory against the Squirrels at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Wednesday.
Stephen Sessegnon put Michel Dussuyer’s men in front in the 2nd minute while Victor Osimhen scored from 12 yards on the stroke of half time to equalize for Nigeria, before Samuel Kalu’s effort in the 66th minute gave Nigeria maximum points as the Super Eagles got off to a flying startin their 2019 AFCON qualifying campaign.
The Leicester City midfielder took to his official Twitter handle after the game to express his delight.
“Lets keep the flag flying,” he tweeted.
The Super Eagles play Lesotho next on Sunday as they aim to make it two wins out of two games.
