Ndidi scores second goal of the season in Leicester’s loss to Southampton

Super Eagles hard tackling midfield Wilfred Ndidi scored his second goal of the season in Leicester City 2-1 home loss to new rejuvenated Southampton on Saturday.

Nigeria international scored in the 58th minute goal for Leicester City after the visitors had took the lead as early as the 11th minute of the game through Ward-Prowse’s penalty.

Republic of Ireland striker Shane Long added the second for Southampton just before the end of the first 45 minutes.

Leicester thought they would find a equaliser after Ndidi had reduced the deficit but it wasn’t meant to be the Foxes and their fans as the Saints held their ground while and defened their lead.

Although Leicester lost but Ndidi scoring was a perfect response to his omission from CAF best eleven players for the year 2018.
