Captain of Nigeria’s women basketball national team D’Tigress Adaora Elonu has stated that players are excited ahead of Nigeria’s participation in the basketball event of the Tokyo Olympics in Japan after the team’s first camping exercise in Atlanta.
Elonu speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net while recounting the team’s training in Atlanta said the seriousness is obvious from the Federation officials to the players and reckons that preparation for the Olympics have got off to a good start for the team with the first phase of camping exercise.
“We’re going to have to compete against the best and our reaction is very exciting as well as other players. The mood in the camp in Atlanta is very good and very nice. We came into the camp where the staff have prepared for everything, and we will be well prepared and know what to expects. Everyone is really excited and really focused to the Olympics in Tokyo.”
