Kelechi Nwakali is delighted to make his first competitive debut for Huesca on Thursday and he’s already looking forward to playing more games for the club.

The 22 years old Nigeria midfielder played the last seven minutes of the encounter, after coming in as an 83rd-minute replacement for Sergio Gomez.

Despite making his long-awaited debut for the club, the former Arsenal player was disappointed to be on the losing side and has called for on his teammates to focus on the next game.

“Thank God though it wasn’t the best result for the team. We keep the focus on the next game,” stated the U17 World Cup winner.

Huesca fell behind in the 62nd minutes no thanks to goal from Alvaro Pena, Huesca however equalized through, Afa Miro on 72 minutes.

Alvaro Pena scored the decider on 86 minutes, to ensure the visitors returned home with a maximum point.

Nwakali and Huesca will hope to bounce back when they play away to Albacete on Sunday, June 21.
