Nigeria and Al-Bukiryah FC of Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Okiemute Odah have stated that he still has hopes of making a return to the national team after having been completely off the radar for a while since leaving Nigeria Professional Football League.
Odah speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said he earnestly hopes to get a look in from Nigeria national team handlers been a goalkeeper and considering how challenging it is for an African goalkeeper to thrive outside Africa. He thereafter added that all he will do is to continue to work hard and hope for the best.
“Of course I’m looking forward if I will get the opportunity to come to the national team to play I will be very happy and grateful to God. It’s not easy you know to be a goalkeeper from Africa so I’m looking forward and working hard but if nothing no problem. I will continue to do my job, I never can tell what will happen but my goal is to continue to work hard and leave the rest.”
