Oladapo confident of Enyimba’s progress to CAF CC semis

Following Enyimba’s win over ES Setif of Algeria on Sunday, Austin Oladapo says have put themselves in a good position to reach the semi-final.

Two goals from Austin Oladapo and Tosin Omoyele gave the People’s Elephants hard-earned maximum points after Monsef Bakrar’s had put the visitors ahead.

The victory placed Enyimba on top of the log with six points, one ahead of second-placed Orlando Pirates, two clear of AL Ahly Benghazi, and five more than bottom team ES Setif.

Four points from three group games will seal Enyimba’s place in the last four of the African second elite club competitions.

Oladapo disclosed in a chat with brila.net that his side is up for the challenge.

“In this group, when we saw it, a lot of people tagged it the group of death and doubted our chances, but I was confident we would qualify from the group.”

“Currently we are first on the log, that’s a very big hope and I believe we’re going to progress from this group and Nigerians will celebrate because we’re going to do better.” He said to brila.net

Oladapo has been leading by example on the pitch, scoring three goals in the Group phase and the influential midfielder said he’s happy with his contributions and he’s willing to add to his tally.

“My Personal target, as a midfielder is to score goals because last season I was scoring goals in the Confederation Cup and NPFL. So, before the league started I desired to score as many as I did last season and I thank God everything came as planned and everything is working for me fine. “

“I scored 3 goals in the group stage of the Confederation Cup and one in the NPFL, due to my injury lay off.”
