Coach of Dutch second division side Fortuna Sittard Sunday Oliseh has stated that he has two Nigerian players in his radar that he believes will help make the Dutch Eerste Divisie side stronger next season.
Oliseh told brila.net that he has been monitoring the two Nigerian players but that he still need to get the all clear from his club on the possibility of having them sign because of the Dutch quota system which protects young Dutch players.
“I’m now looking around for new players to make my team stronger and we see what happens. I’ve spotted two Nigerian talents one is 20 and one is 22 and I wanted to bring them, infact I’m still trying but their is a Dutch rule here that limit because they also protect their own youth so I’m trying to see how we can go about it, if I succeed in it, we should be seeing two Nigerian players here next year.”
