Napoli’s boss Luciano Spalleti has confirmed that Victor Osimhen could be in the squad for Monday’s Serie A game against Bologna.
The Italian manager made the disclosure at his post match conference on Thursday.
Osimhen has not featured for the Azzurri since fracturing his cheekbone and eye sochet against Inter Milan back in November 2021.
In his absence, Napoli slipped down to third in the Serie A standing, before being knocked out of the Coppa Italia at home by Fiorentina on Thursday.
Spalleti attributed some of his side’s poor performance to the absence of Osimhen and he confirmed that, he would be in the squad for the Monday game.
“Now we need to look ahead. In four days we have to play in the league and we need to gather energy. Osimhen will come with us on Monday, we could evaluate the possibility of its correct use “. He said.
Osimhen scored five goals in 11 league game for Napoli before the injury.
