Rabiu Ali to remain at Kano Pillars amid interest from Rivers United

Kano Pillars Captain Rabiu Ali won’t be leaving the club to join Rivers United in the current transfer window.

 

Rivers United are in the market for experienced midfielders ahead of the coming season and they have been linked with the 42-year-old veteran midfielder.


 

The Pride of Rivers are said to be willing to paid the former Home Based Super Eagles Star over one million naira monthly salary if he agrees to join them, but the offer wasn’t enough to convince him to join.

 

Rivers United has now opted for a younger midfielder Auwalu Ali Malam who was touted as the heir to Ali’s position in Kano Pillars.

 

Wikki Tourist also said to be interested in the services of the midfielder, but he’d like to remain at Kano Pillars for next season.
