Nigeria professional football league side Rangers international of Enugu has confirmed the signing of the duo of Israel Abia and Ifeanyi Nweke.
The deal to bring Israel Abia and Ifeanyi Nweke from Sunshine Stars of Akure and Kano Pillars football was confirmed by the club on their official twitter handle on Friday.
“We have snapped up the duo of Ifeanyi Nweke from Kano Pillars and leading goal scorer in the League, Israel Abia from Sunshine Stars to fortify the squad this season.” The Club said on Twitter.
The news, however, brought an end to Israel Abia’s dispute with Sunshine Stars after the player was declared missing from duty and was said to looking for a move away from the club.
Abia is the current leading scorer in this season’s Nigeria professional football league and his arrival is expected to solve Rangers goal scoring problems.
Meanwhile Rangers international also confirmed the signing of Wikki Tourists’ central defender, Ebuka Franklin for the remaining matches of the season.
Ranger is currently lying in the relegation zone despite their first away win of the season against Warri Wolves on Wednesday.
