Real Madrid have called off their pursuit of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, instead deciding to keep faith in current first choice Keylor Navas.
According to a report in Marca on Wednesday, the Champions League holders are not prepared to pay the £65million it is estimated to take to prize the Spain stopper from Old Trafford.
Costa Rica international Navas played a key role in Madrid winning La Liga and becoming the first side to defend the Champions League title.
De Gea made no secret of his desire to join the Spanish giants but has always insisted that he wouldn’t push for a move away from Old Trafford.
It is understood that Zinedine Zidane’s No 1 target for next season is AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Spanish newspaper Marca have reported how Donnarumma has been offered to Real by agent Mino Raiola.
