Rivers United striker Nyima Nwagwa has stated that his side is confident that they can hold on to their slim first-leg advantage after beating Egyptian side Al Masry 2-1 in Aba in the first leg of the final playoff round which precedes the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Nwagwa speaking in a chat with brila.net said the Nigeria Professional Football League side are not writing themselves off ahead of next week’s second leg when they travel to Egypt to face Al Masry despite conceding a goal at home. He added that there is no reason why Rivers can’t also score in Egypt.
