Rivers united skipper Festus Austin has stated that the Portharcourt based Nigeria Professional Football League side Rivers united are pained by the exit from the CAF Confederation Cup after losing out 5-4 on penalty shootouts to Enyimba on Sunday.
Austin speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the team had eye hopes going to the playoff round clash in PortHarcourt but we’re devasted their journey ended just before the group stage.
He however added that they have to move on from the setback and focus now on other competitions.
“It’s very painful we just have to put it behind us because when you look at the situation on the ground losing the match, I think you will always feel bad but as a sportsman believing there are still other competitions believing there are still other games that you will play, you just have to ease up and but it behind you and think positively ahead.”
