Salisu Yusuf reacts to potential return to the Super Eagles

Rangers International coach Salisu Yusuf has refused to confirm his return to the Nigeria national team set up.

Media reports earlier in the week suggested that  the experienced former Kano Pillars gaffer could be drafted to the Super Eagles to assist Gernot Rohr.

Salisu previously worked with Rohr, but in 2019, he striped off his roles after he was found guilty of collecting an amount of money reported to be around $1000 and was sanctioned by the NFF Ethics Committee with a fine of $5000 and a one-year ban from football-related activities.

The media caught up with Salisu Yusuf after Rangers Aiteo Cup game with Bayelsa United.

When asked to react to the news, the the former coach said “Officially not yet but you don’t know what will happen and I will not comment on that,” he said.

Salisu Yusuf was part of the Super Eagles team to Russia 2018 World Cup as an assistant to Gernot Rohr.
