Show Chelsea some Respect – Sarri blasts Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea Boss Maurizio Sarri has urged Callum Hudson-Odoi to show Chelsea respect and warned the teenager he will not be sold to Bayern Munich.

Sarri hailed the 18-year-old winger as the ‘future of English football’ but believes he should be more grateful to the club that nurtured him.

Hudson-Odoi handed in a transfer request last week in a bid to secure a £35million move to Germany, but it was rejected by the Blues.

‘Callum is 18,’ Sarri explained ahead of the Premier League trip to Bournemouth tonight.

‘He has to respect the club, the academy, everything. He has time.

‘If you are one of the best young players in Europe, maybe the academy helped you. So you have to respect this.

‘On the pitch, I am really happy with him. And the club have told me that, in this transfer window, he will remain with us for sure — very probably in the next window, too, so we are really happy with this.’

By ruling out a January sale, Chelsea have bought time to convince Hudson-Odoi to sign a new deal. His current one has 18 months to run.

Hudson-Odoi is frustrated by his lack of games at Chelsea, but since Christmas he has made regular appearances. Last Sunday, he scored in the 3-0 FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday.
